Capital One Financial Corporation (NYSE:COF) finished at $85.58 with shares lifted 1.06%. Capital One Financial Corp. (COF) declared on Tuesday that its Q1 net income of $810 million. On a per-share basis, the McLean, Virginia-based company said it had profit of $1.54. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.75 per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.93 per share. The credit card issuer and bank posted revenue of $6.54 billion in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $6.59 billion.
